Several years ago I designed a series of book covers for original monologue collections published Playscripts, Inc. and I was delighted to be asked back to create the cover for Random Acts of Comedy, the first of their new series of one-act play collections.
The simple idea of putting the classic whoopee cushion in the unlikely situation of being on a stage in a dramatic spotlight both captured the spirit of the collection, which is mainly aimed at high school and college aged theater students, and was just plain funny to everyone involved.
