I was recently commissioned to create this poster as a belated New Year’s gift from my friends at O+M Co. Since they are doing the PR for the Broadway production of Spider-Man the musical they asked that I create something in the spirit of the show using the title of one of the central songs “Rise Above”. They didn’t want any of the existing Spider-Man graphics to be used so I created this original illustration of the lower Manhattan skyline as seen from Staten Island Ferry. The 19 x 25 inch posters were silkscreened in two-colors on red paper by the folks at Team Eight here in Richmond, VA.
And hey, the poster has already gotten a bit of its own press!
