Since its inception 10 years ago I’ve created the poster art for the Richmond Vegetarian Festival. For the first year of the festival I created a simple black and white illustration of a happy cow juggling vegetables. The cow became the defacto mascot of the festival and has appeared on every poster since – in a variety of guises and situations, with a rotating cast of friends.For the 10th year anniversary I decided to pass along the design duties to one of my former students (thanks Erin!) and just focus on creating the illustration, which was a recreation of the first year’s image, but in color and made from hand-cut paper…
