I created this package for Michael Harrison’s new album Time Loops from Cantaloupe Music… 
I had previously designed the package for his album Revelation, so it was nice to return to his music and continue the visual ideas we developed there.
In this case the music was connected to the imagery of a video shown during the live performance, which featured images of planets & orbits in relationship to musical notes and staffs. So picking up on that, I created a diagram that can be seen as both a solar system and as a 4-note chord.
Since the idea is that the music has a historical context (the title of the first piece is “Just Ancient Loops”) I suggested creating the packaging out of unbleached, uncoated cardboard.
The imagery on the front is printed with gold foil stamping and subtly hints at the golden record that was placed onboard the Voyager satellite when it was sent off on its intergalactic voyage.
